What does the PTO do?
-
Class Parents: Each homeroom needs parent volunteers to help coordinate class events and chaperone field trips (if needed) throughout the year. It’s a fun and meaningful way to get involved and support your child’s classroom community!
- Special Grade Level Events: The PTO proudly coordinates, funds, and staffs some of the most memorable days of the school year — including 2nd Grade Community Day, 3rd Grade International Day, 4th Grade Science Fair, 5th Grade Colonial Day and Picnic, 6th Grade Medieval Day, and 7th Grade Career Day! These special experiences are always a highlight for students, offering hands-on, themed activities that bring the curriculum to life in fun and meaningful ways.
- Enrichment Programming Committee: Our committee coordinates and funds engaging educational programs for all three schools throughout the year. These experiences are designed to connect with the curriculum and support character education, bringing learning to life through Cultural Arts, Visiting Authors, Visiting Artists, and STEAM programs.
- The PTO funds and coordinates Staff Appreciation Luncheons, gifts, and Back-to-School Bagel Breakfasts at all three schools. These events are our way of saying thank you to the incredible teachers and staff who make such a difference every day!
- Other Volunteer Opportunities: There are so many ways to get involved! Volunteers help make events like the Book Fairs, Talent Show, Winter Coat Drive, Central Holiday Luncheon, Field Days at Gillette and Millington, School Dances, the 8th Grade Graduation Reception, and more a huge success. Every helping hand makes a difference!
