MILLINGTON SCHOOL

CLASS PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES

As Class Parents, you are the most direct line of communication from the PTO to the parents of the students in your child’s class. Part of your volunteer responsibilities include planning or participating in the following events/parties for the 2025-2026 school year:

Back to School Night Presentation

The presentation is to introduce yourself as a PTO volunteer responsible for coordinating several parties throughout the year, collecting dues and helping with other PTO events at the school.

Class Parties

The following class parties are scheduled for the 2025-2026 school year:

  • Halloween Parade / Party
  • Holiday Party
  • Valentine’s Day
  • End of Year Class Party/Picnic

Class Trips

Class parents may be invited to accompany their class on trips, with the exception of 5th grade (no parents accompany those trips), but class parent attendance at any field trip is not guaranteed.

Special Events

The PTO Reps may call on you occasionally if help is needed with special events. Each grade has a grade level event that requires parent volunteers, as well a school wide field day and other events throughout the year.

Class Parents may also be requested to communicate important PTO information with the parents of the students in the class. This would be emails related to upcoming events or fundraising efforts.
