🎉 5th Grade Picnic

The 5th Grade Picnic is a special day of fun and celebration for our students as they wrap up their final days at Millington School. It’s a chance for the class to spend time together, enjoy outdoor activities, and celebrate their elementary school journey before moving on to middle school.

Throughout the day, students will participate in a variety of games and outdoor activities with their classmates, creating lasting memories with friends and teachers. It’s always a highlight of the year and a wonderful way to celebrate their time at Millington.

To end the celebration, students will watch a special slideshow video featuring photos from their elementary school years. The video link will be shared with families later in the day so you can enjoy this keepsake and look back on these special memories together.

☀️ What Students Should Bring

To help everyone have a great day, please make sure students come prepared:

• Apply sunblock before coming to school

• Hats are encouraged, as most activities will take place outdoors

• Bring a packed lunch

• Bring a refillable water bottle labeled with your child’s name and homeroom teacher

• Bring a towel for outdoor activities

🙋 Parent Volunteers Help Make the Day Special

We need your help to make this day truly special for our 5th graders! The 5th Grade Picnic is made possible with the help of parent volunteers who assist with activities and help ensure the day runs smoothly. Volunteers play a key role in making the picnic fun, safe, and memorable for everyone.

Volunteers may:

• Help set up and organize picnic activities

• Assist with outdoor games and student rotations

• Help distribute supplies throughout the event

• Assist with cleanup at the end of the picnic

⚠️ Volunteer Requirement (PLEASE READ)

Due to Long Hill Township School District insurance and liability requirements, all volunteers must be current, active PTO members in order to volunteer in any capacity. This ensures proper insurance coverage, district compliance, and safety for everyone involved.

A $25 household PTO membership covers the entire school year and allows you to volunteer at PTO-sponsored events.
