2nd Grade Community Day 🎉🏫

Join us for a special day of learning, exploration, and appreciation as our 2nd graders celebrate everything that makes our Long Hill Township community so great!

📅 Event Details

What: A school day dedicated to learning about and appreciating our local community
Where: Field behind Millington School (APR if raining) 🌦️
When: Thursday, May 7th | 12:20 PM – 3:00 PM

👕 What Students Should Wear

  • Comfortable outdoor clothes
  • Clothing/shoes that can get dirty
  • Please apply sunblock before arriving ☀️

🎒 What Students Should Bring

  • A filled water bottle

💧Outdoor water refill stations will be available during the event

🙋 PTO Parent Volunteers Needed

PTO parents will assist throughout Community Day in a variety of important roles, including:

  • Helping vendors set up and break down 🛠️
  • Managing check-in / greeting tables 👋
  • Assisting with crowd flow and transitions 🚶
  • Distributing bags and materials 🎁
  • Helping serve ice pops to students 🍧
  • Providing additional support wherever needed throughout the day 💙

⚠️ Volunteer Requirement (PLEASE READ)

Due to Long Hill Township School District insurance and liability requirements, all volunteers must be current, active PTO members in order to volunteer in any capacity. This ensures proper insurance coverage, district compliance, and safety for everyone involved.

 

A $25 household PTO membership covers the entire school year and allows you to volunteer at PTO-sponsored events.
