BECOME A CLASS PARENT
Class Parents play an important role in supporting classroom teachers, helping coordinate classroom activities, and keeping families connected to PTO information throughout the school year.
If you are interested in volunteering as a Class Parent, please review the information below before submitting an application.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Parents and guardians of students attending Gillette or Millington School may apply to serve as a Class Parent.
To be eligible, applicants must maintain an active PTO household membership for the current school year.
CLASS PARENT SELECTION
Whenever possible, two Class Parents will be selected for each classroom.
If more than two eligible parents or guardians apply for the same classroom, the two Class Parents will be selected through a random lottery.
Parents and guardians may serve as a Class Parent for one classroom per school year. This applies even if you have children in multiple grades or attending both Gillette and Millington Schools.

Serving as a Class Parent does not guarantee participation as a volunteer or chaperone on class trips or field trips. Volunteer needs and selections for individual trips are determined separately by the school and classroom teacher.
READY TO APPLY?
Class Parent applications are typically made available at the beginning of each school year after classroom assignments are released.
Applications must be submitted by the posted deadline to be considered.
Please submit an application for one classroom only.
Selected Class Parents will be notified after the application period has closed and the selection process has been completed.
