8th Grade Graduation Reception

The 8th Grade Graduation Reception is a special tradition celebrating our graduating students and their families following the graduation ceremony. The PTO helps coordinate the reception space, refreshments, decorations, photo areas, and other details that make the celebration feel special.

Traditionally, parents and guardians of 8th grade students are not asked to volunteer so they can fully enjoy this milestone with their graduate and family. We rely on volunteers from other grade levels to help support the event.

Volunteer opportunities may include:

• Helping set up tables, refreshments, and supplies
• Decorating the reception area
• Setting up photo displays or photo areas
• Assisting with refreshments during the reception
• Helping the event run smoothly for graduates and families
• Assisting with cleanup and returning supplies to storage

Volunteer setup typically begins in the late afternoon, with the reception immediately following the graduation ceremony.

Specific volunteer opportunities, timing, and assignments will be shared as the event approaches.
