🎓✨ 8th Grade Graduation Reception Volunteers ✨🎓

Our 8th Grade Graduation Reception is a special tradition that celebrates our graduates and their families after the ceremony—and we need your help to make it happen!

 

💙 Traditionally, 8th grade parents are NOT asked to volunteer so they can fully enjoy this milestone event with their graduate and family. That means we rely on amazing families from other grades to step up and support this memorable celebration!

 

📅 Event Timeline
🕟 4:30 PM – Volunteer setup begins
🕠 5:30 PM – Families begin arriving
🎓 6:00 PM – Graduation ceremony begins
🎉 Reception follows immediately after commencement

We are looking for volunteers from 6th grade, 7th grade, and underclass families to help with the following:

 

🍪 Refreshment Setup

  • Set up tables for snacks and refreshments
  • Help acquire any needed refreshment supplies

⭐ Decorating

  • Hang student graduation stars
  • Help decorate the reception area

📸 Photo Area Setup

  • Set up the step-and-repeat backdrop
  • Arrange balloon columns (provided from Kindergarten Graduation) for photo opportunities

🎉 During the Reception

  • Oversee the refreshment area
  • Help keep things running smoothly for families and guests

🧹 Cleanup

  • Clean up after the event
  • Return decorations and supplies to storage in CMS

Your support helps create a beautiful and stress-free celebration for our graduates and their families. Even a little time makes a big difference!

⚠️ Volunteer Requirement (PLEASE READ)

Due to Long Hill Township School District insurance and liability requirements, all volunteers must be current, active PTO members in order to volunteer in any capacity. This ensures proper insurance coverage, district compliance, and safety for everyone involved.

 

A $25 household PTO membership covers the entire school year and allows you to volunteer at PTO-sponsored events.
